Next meeting: 5 November

At the next meeting, we will be discussing how to lobby the council’s budget meeting. The next meeting of the Housing Policy Development and Scrutiny Panel will be on Tuesday 19 November at 5:30pm in the Council Chamber, Guild Hall. We are hoping that our demand for `no eviction’ policy for people in arrears due to non-payment of council tax or bedroom tax will be discussed at this meeting.

We will be considering BAC’c strategies for lobbying the council on this and other occasions at the next BAC meeting.  This will include suggestions such as establishing a Bath Bailiff Protection Squad  made by Joe Scofield; or organising a lobby/ demonstration outside the county court in support of  people being fined or facing eviction because of failure to pay their council tax or bedroom tax, suggested by John.  Please try to attend the next BAC meeting, scheduled on 5 November, 8.00pm at the Ram in Widcombe.  If you can’t come, please make a note of the council’s Housing Policy meeting on 19 November.
